Keke Palmer Granted Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend Amidst Abuse Allegations

Keke Palmer Granted Restraining Order Against Ex-Boyfriend Amidst Abuse Allegations

Keke Palmer has accused her ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, of both physical and emotional abuse in court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. The documents reveal a pattern of alleged attacks, trespassing, and volatile behavior, leading Palmer to seek a temporary restraining order, which was granted by Judge Wendy L. Wilcox. The order includes temporary sole custody of their 8-month-old son, Leo, with no visitation rights for Jackson.

Palmer, born Lauren Keyana Palmer, disclosed in the court documents that the abuse persisted throughout their two-year relationship and escalated after their breakup in early October. She expressed concern for her and her son's safety, emphasizing the need for a violence-free environment for Leo's upbringing.

The allegations detailed incidents of physical and emotional abuse, including an altercation on Feb. 13, 2022, where Palmer claimed Jackson choked and body-slammed her. The document also cited instances of property destruction, emotional manipulation, and accusations of infidelity. The abuse allegedly continued even after the breakup, with a recent incident on Nov. 5, where Palmer claims Jackson forcibly entered her home, filmed her, and physically assaulted her.

The court documents included accounts of witnessed incidents by Palmer's parents, sisters, friends, as well as surveillance footage capturing some of the abuse. Palmer stated that she and Jackson had attended couples therapy, but the issues persisted in a cycle of improvement and deterioration.

The filing also mentioned a public feud between the couple in July and instances where Jackson allegedly became frustrated with their son, exhibiting aggressive behavior.

In response to Palmer's allegations, Darius Jackson denied the abuse and countered with claims that Keke's mother, Sharon, threatened him with violence, including putting a bullet in his head. The latest conflict reportedly arose during an argument over the custody of their son.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for Dec. 5, where both parties will have an opportunity to present their sides. Despite the legal proceedings, Keke Palmer was spotted in public with her son, Leo, over the weekend, engaged in what appeared to be a professional shoot.
