Celebrities and Supporters Rally Outside the Courthouse For Meek Mill

Celebrities and Supporters Rally Outside the Courthouse For Meek Mill

There was a bundled of supporters and few celebrities came together Monday evening on November 13, 2017, to rally at Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center of the imprisoned rapper Meek Mill. It has believed from my find that the rapper is going to be sentenced for allegedly for violating his probation.

One of the celebrities came and spoke to the crowd against Meek imprisonment was Rick Ross. Meek’s boss at Maybach Music Group label came out to show the artist support.

There has been a flood of tweets spreading the word about the event. Out of all the tweets was Tariq Trotter spreading the word about the event there was a poster for the event reads, “Our criminal justice system has failed Meek Mill and millions of others like him. We stand for justice.” Mill was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating probation from gun charges and drug cases back in 2008.

For my experience, I feel that the justice system fails the Afro-American men in general...whether it is Meek’s situation who is alive to the nonliving like Trayvon Martin, Chris Brown and Noneillah Founder, and hip-hop artist Sean Cos Mason and a host of other Afro-American men and women injustice cases.

I like to leave my readers with this quote by the honorable Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
